A wasps purpose

Many people wonder what the wasps' purpose in life is, or what it does. Many people also think that they serve no purpose in life and are just irritating. The truth is that wasps do serve a purpose in life. Just like bees, they feed off nectar and help pollinate flowers. If we were to exterminate wasps, it would be less helpful than to just keep them.

Eating eggs

Eggs, a traditional part of a breakfast meal. People eat them almost everyday. But what lots of people don't know about  eggs is, our we eating the bird in the egg? Well, the answer is no. The eggs would need to be fertilized in order for a bird to develop inside the egg. This means there is no male gamete to make a bird, and therefore the eggs we get from stores do not have birds in them.

Henrietta's Family

Hello everybody, in this post I will be sharing information about Henrietta's family. Most of her family grew up in a city called Clover. They weren't very poor and they weren't very rich, almost near middle class. Her family also used words like ain't and didn't speak proper English. Finally, Henrietta's family was not very educated.

The Taking Of Henrietta's Cells

Hello everyone. I am excited to once again share information from my Henrietta Lacks book again. In this post, I will tell you about Henrietta's doctor and how he ignored her complaints. After the doctors had taken Henrietta's cells without her knowing, Henrietta later began to feel pains in her abdominal area. She told her doctor about it several times, but he continued to ignore it and said nothing was wrong with her. ( Back in the day black people were happy just to get treated by white doctors. It was very rare, and back then everybody would believe what a white doctor said) After several years of pain, Henrietta's body simply could not take it anymore. She died October 4, 1951.

Mermaids: Real or just a Myth?

Mermaids, considered a mythical creature now for thousands of years. However, recent reports and videos have found evidence proving mermaids ARE indeed real. According to a documentary called "Mermaids: The Lost Body Found", mermaids have been spotted in several places across the globe, including off the coasts of South Africa and Greenland. They've also been found responsible for a mass increase of  dead whales coming from the sea. Some scientists believe its because of the very low sonar blasts that these mermaids release.

The U.S. Navy, who found a body suspected to be a mermaid in 2010, has denied that it was a mermaid. They didn't say exactly what it was or describe it at all, but destroyed all samples of it. Although we still don't know the truth about mermaids' existence, some very crucial evidence about it has been building up, and this myth is really starting to get questionable.

Henrietta Lacks

Hello everyone, I am very excited to tell you about what I learned in my Henrietta Lacks book today, and in my first blog post, Ill give you a little background information about her. Henrietta Lacks was an African American who helped scientists find several cures for diseases. How she did this? Well, without asking, doctors took Henrietta's  cancer cells and used them to find treatments for cancer. No one knows exactly why, but Henrietta later died because of the loss of those cells. Without Henrietta's sacrifice, many people today wouldn't be here.
